The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Japan-America Society of the Tennessee website. On some pages, you can become a member, make a donation, and register to attend events. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:
Credit/Debit Card Information
When you use the public areas of our website, you are doing so anonymously.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when conducting a transaction to complete that transaction only. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your request.
We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive and to send Society information and announcements. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with those outside of our staff and membership. You may opt out of Society information and announcements by sending an email to the Society with your name, email address and "Unsubscribe in the subject line.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described.
This site contains links to sites outside of the Japan-America Society of Tennessee website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
Requests for event or program fee refunds must be made in writing (email is okay) at least 5 business days prior to the event or program. Please allow 4 “ 6 weeks to receive the refund.
We reserve the right to make the fees for a specific event or program non-refundable. This condition shall be clearly written on the registration form for each event or program to which it applies.
Membership dues are non-refundable.
Donations to Japan-America Society or to the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival are non-refundable, but are tax deductible to the extent allowed by federal law.
